Never got mine. Joe directed me to Judy who has all extra copies of back issues, and she's more than happy to hand out whichever copies are desired.

Missing SL's is a common occurrence with me, and I've heard similar tales from others. Learned at the National that the Postal Service conducted an investigation at a major mail distro facility in VA. Seems there were some postal employees who took issue with mail that they found reprehensible, to include the SL. They took issue with this material and ensured that it never saw the light of day/arrived at their intended destinations. I have no idea as to the scope/size or outcome of this.

Times have changed. There are folks (and their numbers are growing ) who want to see or hear nothing of the American Civil War, for what ever reason.

I've advocated for members who request it, that their SL's be mailed in envelopes to prevent theft, loss or damage...

Many organizations now offer a digital version of their newsletter either in conjunction with or in lieu of a paper copy.

I'd be happy with a PDF version on my tablet.

If nothing else, a digital copy stores a lot easier...and would save on postage and printing costs.
