    Cannon Failure at Fort Mchenry

    This is probably "Old News" to many, but the NPS had a cannon fail at Fort McHenry. It was a replica cannon with a lined bore, so it was not a "Catastrophic Failure" like that of the "Peacemaker" on the U.S.S. Princeton. Here is the story:

    That liner looks to be cut way too deep in the casting and the weld on the plug failed and may not have been done to the standard.
