    Bore Size Colt Signature 1861 Muskets

    Can anyone tell me the bore size on these muskets, 2-band and 3-band? Recommend a bullet or load? Thanks.

    Not really. ANY musket barrel made out there will vary a .001 or two. Some even more then that. They all have to be checked for exact bore dia.

    Colt contract musket

    My son shoots an Amoskeag 2 band musket, which I think is similar. He uses a .577 Hodgdon bullet with 43.5g 3fg and it shoots really well at 50 and 100 yards.
