I don't understand your use of "saved". Was it allowed to rust and you refinished it or...? Was it a reenactor's gun?

I believe it was a reenactors. Fortunately he took care of the bore and little else. I remove some substantial pitting from the exterior of the barrel and rust blued all parts, polished the brass and put a miiitary finish on the wood. I bedded it a did the trigger to 4.5 Lbs.
