  4. Ringtail mold help

Google "Rapine Bullet Mold" The size you need is .544475. It is .544 diameter and 475 grain weight, but be ready they get about $100 for one and it takes up to 6 weeks to get it! Dixie Gunworks sells the bullets already cast for $36 per 100.

I work on all types of Sharps, and they are not always what you would expect. Is there any way you can measure the bore? I expect that the .544 is the prime candidate, but would like to be sure.

I have both moulds, (not for sale) so I could send you some of each then you would know for sure, would want you to cover shipping.

NEI can make a mould resonably fast if you are willing to take aluminum blocks. I just got one in 3 days.

I have a shilo, and I slugged the bore with an oversize bullet. After tapping it down the bore, the major diameter is 0.540. I was planning to get a sizing die for .541, or should it be bigger?

Always do what you always done and you'll always get what you always got.

I have found some have many years experience, and some have one year of experience many times.

  7. Thanks for the help...I have decided to sell the gun and try shooting my original 1863 springfield musket.
    Thanks
