What do you want to know?
Thanks Boge,
I recently acquired a Repro '74 sharps Garrett carbine, and I am trying to research both the original rifles, and the manufacturer who made the reproductions for Garrett. I have read they were made in Italy, but can not find out what company manufactured them. I have read that they were of high quality as Italian repros go.
Any input you might share will be appreciated. Regards,
Ringer
The Garrett Arms Sharps were products of Palmetto Arms of Brescia, Italy
First Cousin (7 times removed) to Brigadier General Stand Watie (1806-1871), CSA
1st Cherokee Mounted Rifles | Principal Chief of the Cherokee Nation 1862-66
Thank you Mr McAuley, this helps.

Ringer, the search button here is your friend. Do a search as there is a ton of stuff on Garrett Sharps, albeit all on percussion models.
Are you sure that your carbine is a '74 or rather a conversion carbine? Here's a good example of an original Sharps conversion carbine for comparison:

Not all, they imported some 50-70 & 45-70 conversion carbines. I have one. :wink:Originally Posted by John Holland
