    Defarbed Euroarms Mississippi rifle FS

This is killing me, but construction on our house and the expectation of our first child is forcing the wife and I to take a break from reenacting, and I need to sell some things. First up is my Mississippi defarb project rifle. I have done a lot of research on this one, and put a ton of work into the gun. I've handled originals, taken detail comparison photos of the rifle next to an original Harper's Ferry 1841, and gotten tons of great detail photos of original 1841's off the net. There's still several things that could be done to the rifle, but it's a vast improvement over a stock repro. I've included some pics of the unaltered new rifle compared to an original- yes I know it's well worn and beat up- to give you general idea in the discrepancies in wood dimensions. I did the final reshaping from photos of rare originals in pristine near-factory condition. Here's the specs:

It's a Euroarms .54, which I got brand new, unfired, from Lodgewood at Gettysburg. I've used it once- Pickett's Charge.

ALL modern markings removed, serial number restamped on the bottom of the barrel, out of sight

Stock completely re-profiled to match original- forearm thinned, wrist thinned, raised lock panels shaped, all extra wood removed around sideplate, triggger guard/plate, buttplate, patchbox and tang area

Stock sanded and refinished with linseed oil

Brass trigger plate rounded and reshaped to match original

Hammer completely re-shaped to match original Harper's Ferry 1841, knurling re-cut

Bolster area around cone completely re-shaped to match original

Flat panels on both sides of breech area of barrel reshaped to more closely match originals

    Lock internals deburred and polished

    Hammer screw rounded

All brass and steel (except for most screws) polished and left in the white

I somehow left the ramrod out for the photos, but the rifle comes with the original Euroarms ramrod. Asking price is $730 shipped to the CONUS. Thanks for looking!

    Pictures (finally!)

Sorry guys! Thought what I did with the photos worked, because it looked that way to me. Here's the photos:

First, the UNALTERED new rifle next to an original, then the defarbed rifle.
