FS Original 1861 Special Model Full Length Uncut Musket Stock

This stock came off a 1862 Lamson, Goodnow and Yale (L.G.&Y.). This is an 1861 Special Model musket stock, interchanging with Colt and Amoskeg as well as the L.G.&Y. It is original and UNCUT, measuring 52" long. No major problems, one small sliver (1")missing from the top of the barrel channel on the left side 7" from the nose. Also a 2" hairline crack running from the back of the sliver. There has been a old repair on top behind the hammer. No markings on the stock except on the butt end, L.L.S. and a wheel or flower mark. Only metal included are the ramrod spoon, ramrod stop and the side lock screw escutcheons. PLEASE email me for more pictures. $180.00 + shipping or I can deliver to the Fort.

Jack, curious question....would the barrel you asked about previously be from this stock?

Yes John, the barrel and the L.G.&Y. lock came off this stock.

I was wondering the same myself, if the BBL is from that stock.
