    Golf Ball Mortar Questions

    Just curious to find out a good starting point for how much powder to use to acurately shoot a golf ball mortar at a target at 75yrds. Thanks!

    Never shot that short, I like sending them out of sight.....

    75-100 Grn gets me 100-150 yards. Have shot 250grn plus in mine.

    Now it really is up to the powder chamber you have and length of bore and shape.
    Mine is in the range of 40-50 lbs and has a 6" dia barrel so it will take just about anything.
    I do have a smaller one that would roll over if I hit it with 120 plus grns.

    You going to shoot 1F or 2F?

    Have never shot mine that short either. I have used 60 grains of 1F to get to 100 yds. I have a small chamber on mine and 60 just fills it. The golf ball also fits well in the bore, not too tight not too loose.
