When a pot needs stirring, someone needs to do it...
The gun it's self is fine. Fit and part quality vary. It has a coil spring for the lever latch that can fall out, tumbler has no fly, so when you get the trigger close it can hit on half cock. The breech block fit is sometimes sloppy. If ourchased at the right price you can tune for about $200 and make it very workable. You can get parts at VTI, so repiars are to too bad, but fitting is required.

I had one of these a couple of years back, Its the KIA of sharps rifles not top of the line but affordable. I have one now in 45/70 I love it. Not a target rifle but it will shot 3 inch groups at a 100yrds. With my old eyes and the factory sights I don't think Thats too bad. $400 would be a good price Thats what I gave for the one I had.
