For sale: 1861 Springfield Musket. The lock is marked Philadelphia 1862. The hammer and trigger work good. Barrell has light pitting. It has about a 1 inch hairline crack behind the lock and another 1 inch hairline crack going from the lock screw up to the barrell.The stock had dings and dents and normal handling marks. There is a sliver of wood missing between the nose cap and front barrell band.I am not an expert on these guns but have described it to the best of my ability.
