    Barrel relining

    Hi all,
Just wondering how accurate relined barrels are vs new barrels? The opinion on the Internet is very mixed and I am curious specifically regarding rifles and rifle-muskets as opposed to breech loading barrels.

    Thanks,
    Damon

I have 5 Hoyt reclined originals that shoot better than I can hold.

New being Italian made? from my limited experience the relined are much more accurate, the gunsmiths, Hoyt and Whitacre can make a barrel fit whatever size bullet you are shooting. The rifling seems much more prononced on the relines. Just my experience from having shot both and seeing the improvment after getting relined. Worth the money.
