    Still for sale

9 am in Michigan on Monday morning. 28 degrees and a hard frost on the ground.

Thanks to all for a great time in Virginia. Colors were great and the shooting was FINE. Even won a medal.

    Oh, yeah...for sale board.

H&Ps were selling for up to 1450 this spring with a 20 lb trigger and a really junk ram rod.

I know because I broke mine twice this summer. Mine has been rebuilt with a piece of 7/32 drill rod set about 2" into the rammer end. I also
drilled and tapped the other end to 10-32 and re-installed the old male threads for a worm, etc. In a pinch, you can unscrew that 2" piece and use the ram rod with a jag, brush, whatever you need. Worked great during the team matches on Friday.

The gun has a Hoyt stretched barrel with a nice new and smooth .687 bore, not an old original one with pits and unknown safety issues. The lock plate is dated 1827, but the internals all appear to be new parts.

I redid my trigger to a really crisp, clean 3 1/4 lb break. The Rich Cross 3 leaf sights are dead on for windage and elevation, I just haven't found the right combination of ball, files and load yet, which is why this is for sale. (I need the money for something a lot cooler.)

Comes with a Morton Industries soft case.

$1400 plus shipping or pickup in Howell, Mi.

I'll add some pictures later on today.

I have a Macon conversion that is going to be my main smoothie is this sells.

If not, I'll be in INTENSE load development mode this off season. Then I'll go back to my original plan,
which is the Macon at 25 and this at 50 and for Indies.
