more limbers

on Trail Rock Ordnance web page i see they sell, a first and second model praire limber. what is the difference in the limbers. i didnt know there were more then one. i have heard of the limber having only one large box instead of two small ones. but they also list one with only one box too. is this just somthing he sells or is this somthing that was really made in the war??
