Outstanding Fayetteville Rifle built by P.A. Laake of Texas. This rifle has a Rich Cross lock plate with original internal parts. The barrel is a custom R.A Hoyt 7 L & G barrel glass bedded the whole length of the stock. The barrel is also expertly browned by P.A. and has a Rich Cross 59' short based rear sight. The barrel and lock are dated 1862 and the lock has the "S" style Fayetteville hammer. The wood to metal fit is truly a work of art. I have never seen a better fitting rifle than this one. The custom trigger job is crisp and goes off at about 3.5 lbs pull. The stock is a Dunlop piece of wood that P.A. has taken all the excess wood off and has really captured the feel of an original rifle. If you are looking for the best of the best in a Fayetteville Rifle you can't go wrong with this piece.
