Thanks for posting this. I assemble replacement Maynard barrels from Hoyt blanks and sometimes the groove diameter gets as large as .518 or .519. They are hard to sell this large as folks don't have a mold or know where to get one. I can tell them to contact you for a mold.
Charlie Hahn has his much improved reduced capacity Maynard cases and he will make them to fit any size bullet that folks shoot in Maynards. The cavity in his cases is tapered so it eliminates the huge step going from the bullet seat to the powder chamber. This reduces the tendency for the cases to crack after shooting for a while. His cases are also a little larger in diameter than what has been available for a while and this keeps them from swelling as much upon firing. Good stuff.
i just got a sharps mould and one of the above carbine moulds in 515. i have had a wilkinson mould for a little longer. they all cast a very nice bullet. you get what they advertise. no bad surprises. the quality is there. very well designed and made. its realy great to have someone make us what we need to keep our skirmish guns going. these moulds are worth every penny. im looking forward to seeing what they come up with next. oh and i almost forgot to mention what great folks they are to deal with.
