    merrill carbine help!

So i picked up a decent looking merrill carbine. And in needs to be relined and such. But i went to go open the breech and the breech door/lever/compartment wasnt attached to the push plug that pushed the round into the chamber..... any ideas on how to extract it? Its pretty tight in there must of rusted to the breech or something!!!!

Penetrating oil, light heat, more penetrating oil, and lots of patience. You will probably end up driving it our from the muzzle. Here is the problem with driving it out, it has a copper face on the breech plug plunger. So, to keep from damaging it I would use a hard wood dowel to drive it out, if possible.
