My neighbor is an archeologist at Fort Bragg, NC. He brought by a BP piece he wishes to sell.
His description: " Tower P58 (Enfield Pattern 185 Native Mounted Police( Bengal Irregular Cavalry) smoothbore percussion carbine (musketoon)- standard British service arm for the East India Government Army. .656 bore, 36 -3/4" overall length, 21" bbl, ordnance proof and Enfield inspectors marks- Birmingham Arsenal, lock stamped with crowned VR and 1859 tower, full stock, standard fixed sights, regulation brass mounts stamped with rack number, steel bbl bands missing swivels, captive /swivel ram rod, Bombay arsenal deactivation or reinspection date stamps on butt. The left side saddle bar and ring are missing.
I believe this was originally a 3 band infantry musket, later arsenal converted to the carbine varient.
Basically good working order and good condition. $ 650.00 OBO"

If interested, contact me and I will pass your interst on to him.
