    WTB Lee .578 mini mold

Anyone know where I can buy a new Lee modern mini mold in .578 dia, (ash can)
    ia25th@netins.net

Or does anyone else make the ash can type mold?

  2. As far as I know Lee only makes a trash can in 575; it might cast larger but not 578.

I have a .584 and .578 Lee mold already, but I'd like a new .578 mold, this one has cast many, many rounds. Just feel that a new one is in order.

  4. Lee made these at one point, just not currently.

Midway used to have these. They don 't have one listed now but a teammate got them to make a special order from Lee. He agreed to purchase a certain number and they kept a few they put on their site. They didn't last very long as I remember.

Maybe you can work the same deal.

    Lee Trash Can

A couple of years ago, I found myself in your spot. I logged many a hour surfing the web looking for a supplier that carried a .578 Lee Trash Can.
I finally contacted Lee, and learned that this size had been discontinued. However, the folks at Lee would run a "custom" order for this size.
Sorry, I don't remember the price they quoted me, but I now use a Rapine Trash Can and size it down.

I think I bought my last one from Lodgewood, I'll drop them a line and see if they might have another.
What about the Rapine mold's, who might have one of them?

I also bought a couple of the .578s from midway a few years back and they were the only people having any listed. Both cast about .576
If you want to use a ashcan bigger than .575 your only choice is the Rapine.
I know they cost 4 times as much but will last 4 times as long at least
