Clint - You can get a platinum nipple from Peter Dyson & Son LTD in Englaand. Ph. 01484661062 or google the company. The part you are looking for is S612 and is not cheap, 95.00 pounds. I have bought from them before and they are very good to deal with.

Google turned up the following sources for platinum-lined nipples:
http://www.buffaloarms.com/Detail.as...61843&CAT=3776
http://www.jt-bullet-moulds.co.uk/Accessories.htm (FWIW, I'd try him)
For what it's worth, the Long-Range Muzzle-Loading shooters swear by platinum-lined nipples. I've got one myself in a single-shot pistol. Very nice, especially if you are shooting heavy charges.

I have several PL nipples Rick Weber made for my match and military target rifles. He will build them to the dimensions, thread size, and nipple configuration you specify. The ones I have are used for heavier loads: 70 -100 grains 1 1/2 Swiss for target rifles P-Gibbs, PH-Whitworth, P-H Volunteer. The Whitworth and Volunteer have musket threads. I had Rick make those nipples with a rifle nipple and musket threads. If your loads are not heavy, say much above 70 grains, you probably don't need a platinum lined nipple.
Rick is in Tenn, he hosts the LRML matches at Oak Ridge, and his prices are very reasonable for PL nipples, probably around $50 a nipple at this time, but the cost of platinum has been rising.
If the 1st email address provided above doesn't work for you try rweber@cvs.com . It's Rick's work address so keep that in mind.
