    RCBS mould

I just got this RCBS mould and it is supposed to be a 578 - 414. The primary problem is that I am getting rounds from it that are coming out at 582/583. I got the mould from Midway and I was wondering if anyone else is having a problem with RCBS moulds? I need to shoot a 576 round. I can resize it down to 576 but will it be doing anything to the bullet?
    Thanks

    Dutch,

I ordered a Hogdon .580 mold from RCBS about 5 months ago, and when I mike'd the bullets, I found that the bottom band was averaging .582 to .583 with the remaining bands being .580. It was not a problem for me because I am sizing to .579. Others on the bulletin board have commented on the same issue of quality control.

    RCBS Mold

    Dutch,
Give me your mailing address and I'll send it to you to try. It's marked 578 but would not cast that size. It's been a couple of years since I tried it; I believe it cast .577 by my calipers at about 750-800 degree casting temperature.
