    Sponge head for Howitzers?

I'll be making implements for a Kings Howitzer soon. Were howitzer sponge heads shaped to fit the bore and chamber simoultaniously with one pass? Or, do I make a staff with seperate sponges to fit the bore and chamber on seperate ends?

    Thanks!
