    Brass Cleaning

I've discovered something that works great for me and thought I'd pass it along concerning brass cleaning.

If you take a scoop of "Oxyclean" to 16 ozs. of very hot water the fouling in the cases literally boils out and the cases come out very clean. An additional rinse in hot water after about 5 minutes soaking in the oxyclean and they are ready to dry and be tumbled.

    Re: Brass Cleaning

Is Oxyclean available at my local supermarket? Where would I find it?

Does it work on musket bores?

    THANKS!

    Re: Brass Cleaning

We get ours at BJ's in bulk but I think it's available in most grocery stores. I've never tried it in a musket bore. Have only used hot soapy water for that. Since it is an oxidizer it may promote rust on steel but works fine with brass.
