Help ID mysterious UK cannon founder

I don't think this small bronze cannon or howitzer is Civil-War-related, but since it and its twin turned up in the US I guess there is a remote possibility. Anyway, I'm trying to ID the founder and his/their location. I've posted on the Ebay Antiques forum, the Company of Military Historians forum, with no answers yet, so this is another try. Maybe someone has read something, or knows someone doing research on British ordnance, or ???

What little I know, and a link to the other photos of the piece: http://gs19.inmotionhosting.com/~milita ... read/10971

Outstanding characteristics of this piece are the relatively large bore, and the round/square rimbases

I'm not familiar with that gun, but it sure does remind me of the Woodruff Gun. Woodruff could have gotten his inspiration from that Brit bronze tube.
