Has anyone tried the steam cleaner?

Ya didn't read it right! The first ones are in production now and the entire line will available in two years. Perhaps, we'll wait and see.
I went to the Pedersoli web site and it looks like they have an 1861 Springfield available currently.

Did Pedersoli by some of Euroarms toolling?

Possibly, but at 800 euro I doubt it. These rifles will run over $1,000, easily. On the other hand, Pedersoli does good work.
