Thread: WTT: WWII Russian carbine and revolver

  1. WTT: WWII Russian carbine and revolver

I got out of re-enacting several years ago but have been considering starting again. I sold all of my gear except my 1853 Enfield and 1842 Springfield. I would like to trade these two Russian guns for another repro (or original) musket/rifle musket. I would consider another Enfield or 1842 but what I'd love to have is:
    2 band Enfield
    Mississippi rifle
    Lorenz
    CS Richmond
    1861 Springfield
    Sharps rifle/carbine
    Possibly others

These guns will have to be shipped to a 03 FFL (curio and Relic) or 01 FFL. Most gunshops/pawnshops charge about $20 per gun for this service. Please email me if you are interested in a trade.

Mosin Nagant M38. 7.62x54 Dated 1944, all stamped matching numbers. Good bore. This is a typical refurb, although it does have the original M38 stock which is hard to find on the recent imports. Someone stripped the shellac off and looks like they rubbed it down with linseed oil. It looks good. Comes with a sling.

Nagant revolver. Tula, dated 1941. Finish is very good. Wood grips. These are fun pistols. 7.62x38. Ammo is hard to find but it shoots .32 H&R well.

    M38 Mosin /Nagant 7.62x54

Are all the numbers "stamp matched " to the serial number?{no electro-pencils} ie; mag plate ,butt plate ,bolt ,handguard and stock,
How bad is the bore? Is the muzzle counterbored? Price ?
    Thanks in advance.
When you see a Veteran....., Thank them for their service to our country.

  3. Are all the numbers "stamp matched "? Yes, no numbers on the stock and handguard (the Russians did not number the wood)
How bad is the bore? Very good, shoots well. rifling is strong
Is the muzzle counterbored? No, Not counter bored
Price ? I prefer to trade at this time

    Thanks,
    Mark

  4. Bump, I still have these and still willing to trade!

Not that it matters, but your revolver is a Izhevsk, not a Tula.

  6. I just realized I posted the wrong picture! The Tula looks just the same, I'll try to get that fixed.

I'm interested in the revolver. Willing to trade for Confederate uniform items?

I would be willing to trade for some confederate gear, if the M38 stock is an m38 stock, as you state, without the scallop for the M44 bayonet.

  9. Thanks for the offers on the gear. I meant to edit the ad after I bumped it. I actually bought a full set a few weeks ago. I am still interested in trading for a long arm though.
I also have a few other, more uncommon Mosins as well as an Inland M1 carbine. It would take something REALLY cool for me to trade the Inland, such as a repro or original Spencer, or original Lorenz...

If you're interested in selling outright, I'm first in line

Let me know if/when you have a cash price.
