Are there any "exceptions" of the N-SSA rule of 26 1/2" for the maximum barrel length for carbines? Thanks. Norm.

Norm There are several carbines that have barrels that are under the 26 inch measurement. What one were you looking into. Let me know and I can send you a measurement page for it. Wayne Shaw 1985V SAC

Wayne, I'm thinking yours is not really an answer to Norm's question. What he asking, seems to me, is what firearms, if any, which have a barrel length exceeding 26-1/2 inches, can still be used in carbine competition? Personally, I don't know of any.

Norm-Ken Sorry had a can't read moment. Started typing before starting mind. I can't think of one at this point, the Mod 1 Maynard is the longest I can think of at 26 ". Anyone can jump in at any time on this? Wayne Shaw

Thanks all, for the replies. This thought came to me at a recent skirmish. I am new to the game, so did not question what I perceived to be an exceptionally long barrel on a gun used in the team carbine match. Will get a better look next time around. Have a great day. Norm.
