    Remington 760 gamemaster

Need help with my Rem. 760 gamemaster 30-06 and I know this fraternity has the knowledge somewhere.
After deer hunting this year in some wet weather, I took out the trigger housing out to dry, clean and lube up the mechanism and all the internals. That done I tried to reassemble. Problem is the action will not lock closed. The action release arm is just above the slide lock bar when reassembled. Is something missing, broken, or bent? Any knowledge transferred will be greatly appreciated.
When in doubt, mumble, when in trouble, delegate.

Try this I took this from one of my firearms Assembly books.Quote "When assembling, place safety on safe, open action half way, and with mechanism in cocked position insert front of trigger plate into bottom of receiver. Rotate unite clockwise to clear action bar lock and slide unit fully into opening. Push it rearward and align pin holes. Insert front and rear trigger plate pins." I hope this helps and good luck.
