    Re: Ohaus - .575 Minie

I shot one back in the late 70's in my Zoli Zouave. I used 40 grains of 3f and was pleased with the 50 yard performance; however, shooting it at 100 yards produced less than acceptable results, especially if it was windy. So,I began using the .575 old style Lyman minie for 100 yard events and the results were far better.

    Tony,

If the mold is truley unused, then $45.00 is a reasonable price. Most new molds now run in the $80.00 and up in price and that does not usually include the handles. Lyman handles for large blocks (minie size molds) will work with an Ohaus mold. Look on Ebay, there are often Lyman handles up for auction.
