There is a Cadillac quality reproduction of the Maynard 1st Model made by Larry Romano of Pennelville, NY. I don't know whether he still builds his repro of the 2nd Model, but he did at one time. At the lower end of the financial spectrum is the Ramshorn copy of the 2nd Model for approximately 1/3 the price, but obviously not the same quality. The choice is yours.

All 2nd Models and many of the 1st Models are .50 caliber with plastic or brass full capacity (approx 40 gr BP) cases or reduced capacity brass (25 or so gr BP) available. You may also encounter .36 caliber carbines in 1st Model configuration. I don't know the capacity of those cases as I have no experience with them. As for bullets, I use the old standard Ideal 515139, but also have one made by Romano to develop this Winter.
