I finally gave in and took the barrel out to look for proof marks. There is a date code that I believe is 1999. Proof marks on the barrel are Italian. The Parker Hale Birmingham England marking on the barrel, I assume the barrel was made in England and shipped to Italy for final assembly hence the Italian proof marks.
