Pedersoli Sharps New Model 1859 Military Rifle has been well maintained and always been meticulously cleaned. Very light use, like new condition. The front sight has been replaced with raised brass sight for 50 yards, which can easily be replaced if desired. The face plate on the breech block did not need the o-ring modification because Pedersoli made it with the "newer" face plate that came with the washers. I still used white lithium grease around the breech block to keep the fouling soft. This Sharps Rifle has been sitting in a safe for the last 5-6 years - periodically running an oil patch through the barrel and pipe cleaner with solvent through the breech block.
