Greetings All. I?m a new owner of a Maynard carbine. It seems never to have been fired and I?m excited to shoot it. But first I could use some advice:
- I have an Eras Gone mold for the Smith carbine and I thought I read somewhere that the Smith bullet could be fired in the Maynard. However it seems too large. I loaded one in a Maynard case that I acquired from S&S - it seated ok but was a bit tight. What do y?all think?

Have you slugged your bore to determine the right size bullet you will need? Usually .001-.002 over bore will work very well. What size bullet does your mold drop (measure it after it cools... )... You can use that bullet - but may have to size it down just a smidge so it fits your brass, chamber and rifling properly.
