    Charlie
    lift the ramp / slide and look underneath- it should have a screw holding it- loosen the screw and try to slide the base

    That doesn't sound like the one I sold you but if it is, the front sight is soldered on. Long range rear sights usually can't be moved much at all because of the close fitting screw hole and the dovetail.

    No sir it is not i haven't had any issues with the one i got from you, i have been very pleased with it. This is one i ran across and trying to make it a shooter out of it was in kinda rough shape when i got

    Charlie, the fixed style of rear sight it sounds like your rifle has should be dovetailed in.
