Price reduced to $1100.00!! OK, I got the gun back from Bob Gorsky. He fixed the flash hole in the breech, replaced the cleanout screw and the nipple will come out with little effort. I took the gun to the range with some rounds I made up with my old load, 32 grains 3F + grits filler, and here are the results. Considering the poor light and original sights it didn't do too bad. With a little tuning and sight work it should tighten up. Original Smith carbine with 50 white plastic tubes. This Smith has never been skirmished with, stock has a couple of repairs and I don't believe the forearm is original. Bore has good rifling but has a couple of spots of pitting on the right side. This may clean up with a little work and firing it. But the price is right, $1200.00. I can ship this but would prefer face to face transfer at the Fort.
