Retired from skirmishing. Feel free to make reasonable offers. I am 75 miles from Fort in Maryland. Email Jimbish1 at Outlook.com for more information.
I have the following items that I would like to offer for sale.
1. Rifled Model 1847 69 caliber Cavalry Musketoon. This gun has been put together using mostly original parts that are quite hard to find. It has an SAC card and I use 45 grains of Goex 3f with a 510 grain SWC .69 minie bullet that I cast. Recoil is mild and it holds and shoots well. I used it for stake event $1,600 at Fort Shenandoah. The parts for this gun are rare and expensive. Nice muzzle stuffer for carbine event!
- Rifled Model 1816 Remington Conversion 69 caliber made by Haack and Vikar. Gun has lots of original parts and shoots great. I used it for stake and other musket events such as hanging tiles and pigeons. The previous owner could load faster than I do and he shot entire matches with it and absolutely loved it. You couldn?t build it for the price I am asking for it. Has a Whitacre barrel and uses a .685 minie with 55 grains of 3f. Comes with SAC card, $1,500.

- Fayettevile Type 2 rifle built by Steve Buchanan.in 2019, Has a .577 Whitacre barrel and shoots .575-.576 minies. This is an approved gun and no SAC card is needed. Gun has only been shot a few times and has an open sight and a peep sight for different light conditions. All 3 of my Whitacre barrel rifles shot the same ammo. Steve did a lot of hand work on his guns and it was hand fit very carefully. This is a very fine gun on the high end of custom guns, Priced at $2,800..
Attachment 14477
- Romano Ballard Rifle in 44/40. Comes with peep and open sights. This gun is made of modern steel and can be shot with smokeless powder and jacketed billets outside of NSSA competition. I do the same thing with my 45 Colt Henry. For competition I shoot a .429 bullet and 23 grains of 2f Swiss. This is a very fine gun with modern steel throughout. Price $3,300.
- R, Ball and Co manufactured Ballard Sporter Model Carbine in 32 caliber with original barrel rerifled and rechambered to use 44 Special centerfire. Just over 2000 of these guns were made by Ball in 1865-1866. Gun has markings for Ballard's Patent and Merwin & Bray AGTS. None of the guns were ever marked with Ball on the receiver. Ball patented a side loading gate and was purchased by Winchester to acquire this patent. Price $1,325. Shipping extra.
