    starr carbine

any noe have proper bullet dimension for a Starr. Not a .54 as they say it is Richmond is way to small. I think more 56 than 54 any input?

Starrs are 54 caliber land diameter, Sharps are 52 land diameter. Slug your bore, but you will probably need a bullet about 0.560 inches diameter, like a Burnside or 56-56 Ballard. The Accurate Molds 56-450S will probably work.

Sharps ammo was occasionally issued for Starrs by mistake since they are almost identical, which caused a lot of complaints.

The bullet for a Starr is .555" as printed in Dean Thomas's book "Round Ball to Rimfire", volume 2, page 254.
