    Pin gauges

One of the keys to accuracy is matching the bullet the bore. A bullet .001"-.002" smaller than the bore is needed to obtain a good fit and still slide the barrel during a match.

I found these pin gauges on Amazon and will be ordering several from .575" to .582".

When ordering pin gauges, it's not necessary to have each in that range. You need .575, .577, .579, .581. Example- if you can insert a .577 but .579 won't fit, the bore is .578. If .579 just starts but .577 is a slip fit and .581 doesn't, you're dead on .579.

    Pin gauges

Nice find. I got a .570 to use as a push rod for the hand sizers I bought from Tom Crone at Nationals. It works very well.
