    More thread drift!

I can't remember which gun writer it was, but he was supposed to meet Elmer Keith at an airport. A short man wearing a sheepskin coat, mukluks on his feet, a 20 gallon Stetson upon his head and chewing on a big cigar got off of the plane and the gun writer walked up, offered his hand and said, "Mr Keith, it's good to meet you." Elmer looked at the gun writer with a surprised expression and said, "How did you know it was me?"

Yep, when I met Keith he was wearing fancy cowboy boots, that white, 10 gallon Stetson hat and wearing one of those "Tom Mix style cowboy Western suits." He would have looked perfectly at home on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville.
