Don't know what sight shims are, specifically, but for anything Sharps, call Larry Flees at 231-342-0821

Spacers to put under the slider on the ladder site. I checked with Larry, he didn't know where I could get some. I guess I could simply mark 50 and 100 on the ladder with a scribe/witness mark

    Hello, Dan:

If you are seeking a way to hold the Sharps slider bar securely at a specific distance mark, maybe a small set screw in the slider will help. I have tried shims behind the fingers, punch marks and even epoxy with varying results. Something secure that prevents vibration and bumping movement is better.

Kevin Herrick a skirmisher here supplies replacement Spencer ladders with slider bars that have the set screw. Also, I think Tom Crone, 301-973-5699 could modify yours for a small, barely visible set screw. Then just move the bar to the mark and use the set screw. Smiles.
