Yep if you do have the correct tumbler and the correct sear then that sear may have broke the end off.
I have had that happen on several repop guns. The metal in the repops are just not that good.
Being your is an original if the sear did not break then it may not be the correct one.
Few pictures of the back side of that lock would help.
