Here are two very nice rifles for sale. I have a primary and a backup for the musket matches and don't need them anymore. Both are excellent shooters and in great condition, fired very little.

1. Colt Signature Series Special Musket. Three band musket sold by Colt of New York in the 1990's. Has the S hammer and screw type band springs. Marked with Colt's signature on the trigger bow. Open sights set up for 50 and 100 yards with taller front sight blade. I had Larry Romano put a new barrel on the original breech which has all of the original markings. Gun had 1/48 twist which I didn't like. New barrel has 1/62 twist and shoots fine. New bore is .577". Barrel has been lightly aged since I don't like a bright finish on barrels. Lock tuned. Price $1200.

2. Armi Jaeger 1863 Remington (aka Zouave). High quality Zouave reproduction. I have owned two Zoli's and it puts them to shame. Set up for skirmishing with peep sight flip up for 50 and 100 yards and taller front sight blade. Has .580 bore and I shot it with .579 sized Hodgdon. Excellent shooter. Lock tuned. I would keep it as a backup gun, but I have two rifles now that shoot the same ammo and just don't need it any more. Price $650 and well worth it.
