I have never seen a reproduction of these. That is not to say that there aren't any. But originals are few and far between.

I was beginning to suspect that there were no reproduction ones made. The last original I?ve seen sell went for almost 10K so not an option.
Luckily, a friend of mine has one that is in pieces so I can get measurements to have one made. I was hoping not to have to go that route though.

Does your friend have the tin insert for the box? I think that part would be the hardest to reproduce.

Yes he does. I?ll be going over this week to photograph and measure what he has. The set he has was one of a group of 9 that were found in a Morse box in South Carolina. It consists of the belt which is in pieces, one complete box with the front flap cut off and the brass loops and tubes from the second box. I should be able to get good measurements and pictures from the remains.

If you get an opportunity to photograph this, I am always looking for a challenge. My queue is full right now but would definitely consider doing one in the future.

    Hi Dennis,
I haven?t been able to get the pictures and measurements yet as the owner has been sick, but should be able to do it shortly and be willing to share with you.

This would be great. I have some other projects that I have to complete first. This may take a while to get right but definitely a challenge.
