    Maynard Nipple

I have an original 2nd Model Maynard Carbine. What is the thread size on the nipple?

    Thanks!

    Re: Maynard Nipple

The thread size is .265" x 26 TPI with a Whitworth thread form. They can be had from sutlers who sell period items. I've had good luck with the stainless ones from the Regimental Quartermaster. He has them with two sizes of flash holes. I use the smaller of the two. Other sutlers have them also, Lodgewood, S & S, Gator Den to name a few. You won't find them outside of these suppliers. Contact one and just tell them you want a 2nd Mod Maynard nipple. They'll know what you want.
