Which is it? Bernadelli and Zoli are not the same. Some by Bernadelli are not approved for N-SSA use.

Please excuse my ignorance but why would scrapping the identification data off a reproduction musket make it more valuable and why would anyone willingly associate their name with such a process?

    look at the trigger guard

It is not a Zoli made rifle. It may be a Zoli barrel. Not to get into any argument or hurt feelings but the ugly, out of proportion trigger guard is the clue. Just talking out loud.

Some re-enactors prefer to have the modern makings removed from their weapons and moved to the underside of the barrel where they can't be seen.

A lot of reenactors prefer the markings removed for the sake of giving a modern piece a more period look in the field. Then, some folks will add inspector marks, a VP and eagle markings, perhaps even recontour the stock, and then add new maker marks to the lockplate.

The best thing aside from dragging a $1k-5k rifle/musket into the field.

Was it also blued by him, as the Bernadellis were browned. Did the W get removed off the Bolster, because if it is a Bernadette barrel and the W has been removed there is no way to know if it is the approved version with the welded bolster.
