    need tap for threading lockplate

Anyone know of source of 10-26 taps to use in rethreading a damaged hole in my Model 1861 lockplate? Searched a number of places without any luck.

I think S & S Firearms has them also. I purchased one from there a few years ago. They gound off the size marking tho. You can just puchase the one you need.

    Metric thread

The thread is very close to a Metric 1.5 x 8. That what Brian Haack and I used to tap our lockplates. Original screw worked great with this tap.
