    P-1853 Question

I have an attic find stock with nose cap and butt plate. On the tang is a number, 1811. Is this a blockade number/identification? Inside the barrel channel is stamped three lines of information which appears to be Caleb and some other marking I am working to transfer to paper so I can read. I would appreciate any help from our Enfield collectors.

    Thanks

    Charlie

    Hi Charlie,
That's very possible. Do the numbers look etched or more stamped?
    Thanks,

Charlie - If you can possibly post a photo, it would make it easier to answer your question.

It is etched or engraved. It is similar to another one I had that was confirmed. Sorry for the picture quality

Oh no, that picture shows that CS marking well enough. Congrats on a terrific acquisition!
