    cannon platforms

How many people shoot their cannon on a platform or runners. I am thinking about building a mortar platform to shoot my mountain rifle from. it measures out just big enough i think. 96 in x 105 in. if not then it will be fun to shoot my mortar on every now and then. maybe just nationals.

Rick, I was going to build one for mine but the weight of it was a down side.

It would be nice to have a back stop for the mortar to ride on and the fact that you could pin it to the ground, then have screws to level the mortar.. From checking up on it, you can not tie it down, use straps and so on. The wood on wood could cause a little bounce.

As for the cannon, I built some steel channel ramps for our cannon to load and use as a runner for the wheels but no one wanted to try them.
They have lugs to stick into the ground and should be easy to level.

If you are coming to the Manly's shoot you can take them and try if you want.
They are 6' long and heavy channel that is 6" wide.

By the way keep a look out for a camo umbrella I had one walk off...... Green

I have a cold beer to the person that finds it.......
