Looking for left-handed women's padded shooting shirt

My 15-year-old daughter is getting hammered by her Smith. Every time she shoots it she is getting bruised. Yes, she holds it in tight.

I've been googling for padded shooting shirts (N-SSA rules say they have to be hidden under clothing) but have not really found anything that looks useable and is for a left-handed shooter.

Might end up just making one. Anyone have any leads on buying one online?

    Thanks,

    Hello, Steve:

The "P.A.S.T" pad for use over or under clothing is available from MIDWAY.
    It is a proven device.

If she wishes to custom fit a pad, search for "SORBETHANE" padding.
It is close to the same thing. I have used both.

Another possible material was "SPENCO" padding.
It was in custom bicycle seats as a shock absorber.
SPENCO firmness is a bit mushy because it was developed as an artificial breast prosthesis.
Great stuff on a seat. My Smith, esp. w/full chg's 3F leaves a slight bruise, so she's not alone.
    All the best,

The P.A.S.T. line of padding is a very good option. They manufacture shooting shirts with a removable pad in the shoulder and also pads specifically designed for women which attach to a bra strap which would fit an "under clothing" requirement. There are sources other than Midway on-line.

This looks perfect and the price is right also. Thanks a lot, Kevin!

OK Steve, now that you have that ironed out, tell us what she thought of her first skirmishing experience.... and don't leave out the part about the 6 rounds into one ragged hole from a revolver.

I have modified several snug fitting Tee shirts with a sewn in Past recoil shield. The straps never held it in place for me. A heavy duty snug Tee shirt does the job. I pin it in place and take it to the local tailor. Try it.

She loves it. Actually Eva was her first shoot last November. She got a hit on a tile and has it hung in her room.

She currently can hold about a 7-8" group off a bench. I believe she is starting to get to where she knows how to consistently aim and shoot. We have to solve the pain problem though because it is very hard to concentrate on your shot when you are instead thinking about how the shot is going to hurt you.

Her biggest problem right now is simply upper body strength to hold the gun and aim it offhand. She weighs 110 pounds.

That was my second choice. Probably the best solution as the pad can't go anywhere.
