How close is the Mississippi but plate to a '55 rifle plate?

I just wondered because I found out the expensive way that the brass rifle plates from S&S don't fit a '61 or '63 Springfield either.

Mississippi butt plates are flat. 1855,1861 and 1863 butt plates are curved.
